These past few days in work have been very exciting! I have been working on the big launch of the new Mary Portas shop and tomorrow is the big day!! If you haven’t been to see the new flagship store on the second floor of House of Frasers Glasgow, tomorrow would be the day to have a swatch…yes my friends…She. Will. Be. There.

“When it comes to fashion the Scots are streets ahead, so what better place to launch my Βcollection than Glasgow?”

Mary will not be the only fashion insider present tomorrow, her wife Melanie Rickey – Fashion Editor at large for Grazia magazine – will be there dishing out advice on this seasons trends and essentials! The power couple will also be accompanied by Caroline Key, a Scottish interior designer and stylist who revamps vintage furniture which is also on sale in the shop!

It’s such a comfortable shop and so many brands to browse through, all hand picked by Mary to expand your horizons and to suit any budget. There are some adorable illustrated notepads I have my eye on and the smell of any Cowshed product never fails to lure me in! There are too many to mention but you can definitely feel the personal touch wherever you look.

Some of the notepads on offer from Β£3.50

This honestly feels like Christmas. Mary has been a big idol of mine for a long time, even to the degree when people asked what I wanted to do with my life, I’d reply “The Glaswegian Mary Portas!” so to actually meet her and Melanie is really gonna be something I will always remember. Hope to see you all tomorrow! Wish me luck! (AAAHH!!)
