We all have staple pieces in our wardrobes: the leather jacket, the pair of jeans, the ankle boots that look great with everything and the handbag that holds all your essentials. But there’s one item that tends to get overlooked, one that deserves a wardrobe of its very own. Of course, I’m talking eyewear! And IOLLA sure got the memo!

Unlike your favourite handbag, glasses are not a one-size-fits-all deal. Growing up, I’d wear out the same old lenses for a year, wearing them out until they were literally hanging on my face. But now, now I expect way more from my specs. Wearing them every day it’s easy to get bored at looking at the same old frame, same old frame. That’s where IOLLA step in with their incredible range of affordable, versatile eyewear fit for any OOTD you can throw at them!

You may have read before that I have a somewhat complicated prescription. Take me to Supersavers for example, and before I’d even choose my frames I’d have a £300 lens bill to think of, that’s before even considering add-ons like thinning and anti-glare. So when I saw IOLLA’s advertised £65 price point, I thought it was too good to be true. Surely they didn’t mean MY prescription too, did they? Oh, they absolutely did. And so the eyewear floodgates opened…

I know more than anyone that finding the right pair of glasses can be tricky. Are they cute and durable? Do they make a statement but go with everything? We always end up narrowing it down, compromising as we go to find the pair that will would suit all weather, all outfits and all occasions. You know how mad that sounds though, right? I don’t think there is another item in our wardrobes that we would expect to suit every occasion and style, so it’s about time we cut our glasses some slack and give ourselves some options. It would be rude not to, especially since IOLLA created this amazing wardrobe case to store them all!

I believe that my glasses are an extension of my personality. And my personality? Well, it’s certainly more than one dimensional, so I picked the frames that not only went with my wardrobe but my identity too! I gravitate between the striking nude metals to let my bright colours speak for themselves, and also the bright and bold frames for when I wanna be that little bit extra. Each pair gives me a different vibe; girly, powerful, playful, glasses are more than just for seeing, they add a little bit of you to your look!

If you are finding it difficult choosing your next pair or would like to chat through your best eyewear options, well you’re in luck! This November, I’m working alongside IOLLA to create the perfect individual eyewear wardrobe. Every Thursday of the month, I’ll be heading to either their Edinburgh or Glasgow showrooms and styling customers faces, so they make the right choices for their style, life and personality. With four pairs (and the eyewear wardrobe box) coming in at £260, it’s STILL cheaper than lenses alone elsewhere, without compromising on quality or style. Here are the dates you should be adding to your diary!

Thurs 8th November, 5-8pm STOCKBRIDGE

Thurs 15th November, 5-8pm FINNIESTON

Thurs 22nd November, 5-8pm STOCKBRIDGE

Thurs 29th November, 5-8pm FINNIESTON

I am honestly so honoured to be working with IOLLA on this campaign. Since they opened, I have been so thankful that they don’t discriminate on high, weird prescriptions and make glasses accessible and affordable for everyone. If it weren’t for them, the luxury of an eyewear wardrobe would be nothing but a dream but now everyone, every day (in any outfit) can #SeeWithIOLLA.

  1. I absolutely love the idea of £65 glasses. You’re right, it makes the idea of an eyewear wardrobe possible for people on a tight budget. Will be checking these out!
