I’m a sucker for a good high street meets designer collaboration. Every year like clockwork you will see me flat white in hand, perching patiently along the H&M wall on Buchanan Street hoping to be at least within the first or second ‘band’ slots to shop the collection. Hold onto your handbags ladies and get ready to hit refresh as Alexander Wang has confirmed for H&M’s newest collaboration, and heres the video to prove it!

The night before the fashion world was rocked with the announcement over instagram, myself and Bee headed to the capitol for the Feast of the Commonwealth within Our Dynamic Earth. It was Β a science-infused dinner party with a difference as we enjoyed some wonderful demonstrations and chatted (and sampled) foods of the future in the 100 day countdown to the Commonwealth Games. I wanted something comfortable to eat in but of course colourful to go with the beautiful weather we have been having. In perfect timing I ended up going for my H&M by Versace Versace Versace dress.

Glasses: Miu Miu from Pretavoir, Coat: Topshop, Dress: Versace by H&M, Shoes: Faith from Debenhams, Bag: Zara

This dress reminds me of something one of my style icons – Daphne from Scoobie Doo – would wear to a similar occasion. I love the nude mesh that underlays the vibrant purple which brings out the best in my hair colour. I broke it all up with matching crisp whites including my new fave white stilettos from Debenhams new S/S collection and the Zara ‘it bag’ pinched from Bee.

I have at least one item from every H&M collaboration (more of an obsessive thing if I’m honest, hello Jimmy Choo earrings I have NEVER worn!) I have a feeling that Alexander Wang will shake some things up though with his relaxed off duty model aesthetic. are you as excited as I am? Who will be accompanying me in the que this year?
