I love the look of something so traditional it doesn’t need a trend to follow. Along with my trainers a few weeks back, I have had a hankering for a backpack for a while now. It was a style that I wasn’t sure how to rock until I found the perfect match for me, luckily I found that in this stunning Bohemia Design satchel backpack.

When Bohemia first got in touch with me, I was delighted that they had been brought to my attention! I always (non intentionally) seem to dress myself with a nod to vintage styling, when I saw the traditional ‘school bag’ satchel shape paired with detachable backpack detailing, I knew I had found ‘the one’. I ended up choosing the mustard yellow colour as I like my bags to pop in an outfit. Bohemia’s satchels are made by a family run company first established in the 1960’s within my very own capitol of Edinburgh. The leather smells incredible and the construction feels so sturdy! I love the fact that the straps are detachable and easily adjusted, i can transform my backpack on the train into briefcase mode in a matter of seconds, now that’s stylish functionality! The bags have the old school name plates to display your name and number (traditionally) but I customised mine with the Betty & Bee logo from our business cards! I have been wearing my backpack around town for many different occasions but loved prancing round the park on Easter Monday wearing a vintage jumpsuit, denim jacket and believe it or not, one of my dads old belts! We

were so lucky to have the sun out all weekend to make the most of the great outdoors, who even notices the wind when the suns out?! 20140422-010551.jpg 20140422-010320.jpg 20140422-010404.jpg 20140422-010345.jpg

Bohemia have a whole online store full of locally made goodies, I seem to have a complete bag fetish and am awing over their adorable ‘Pop Bags‘, particularly the vintage pink colour! They have also just worked up a collaboration with none other than colourful brand Benetton. You can now shop their Edinburgh produced bags in stores across Europe, pretty cool eh? What do you think of Bohemia Design bags? Would you rock a backpack? 20140218-000745.jpg
