So London Fashion Week opens today, and I for one am extremely upset that i am not power walking through hoards of fashionistas, handbags at dawn style with a double shot latte firmly in my hand. There are so many amazing shows and I know I will be plastered to my phone / computer screen waiting in baited breathe for all the Spring Summer 2014 action to unfold. Winter who?!

If I had my pick of the LFW Litter you would definetely see Betty elbowing her way to the following top five:

1. Holly Fulton –  (14th September at 12pm)

Holly Fulton Catwalk - London Fashion Week

It wouldn’t be a surprise to most that my first choice would be fellow Scot and print wonder women Ms Holly Fulton. Her dainty, girly and elegant edge brought us back to the 1950s this summer, rumour has it she is giving us some disco. Bring on the soft focus. I’m ready.

2. Topshop Unique (15th September at 3pm)

Every. Damn. Year. This collection blows me away. There is always at least one piece that if i don’t manage to find a way for it to wangle into sale and directly to my wardrobe, i have sleepless nights. For A/W Topshop  brought us high texture raunchyness (called Coco’s tea party, can i be invited please?!) I have a feeling the textures still gonna be way up there but a smidge lighter for the summer… Be Kind Topshop….

3.  Sister by Sibling (14th September at 10am)

I am super excited by this trio. Every item is fun, energetic and with a great sense of humour to boot. Brining light hearted and whimsy to knitwear community this is the designers favourite collection to date, so this gets Betty very excited.

4. Jonathan Saunders (15th September at 8pm)

Beloved Glasgow boy Jonathan brought us (in my opinion) one of the strongest collections for A/W13. Sweetheart necklines and structured silhouettes make for classic beauty and i cannot wait to see what he will bring to S/S14.

5.  Eudon Choi (13th September at 4pm)

The fashion world has been buzzing about the Korean designer, and with the new River Island collection launching on the 17th of September, I hope he’s ready for it!

To those of you who are in London at this time, enjoy the magic. I feel like there are a lot more Scottish designers who will be down to showcase in the next few years. Until next time I’ll leave you with some hilarious cartoons by Michele Moricci, to celebrate the closing of New York Fashion Week. I would want to be Sailor Moon waiting for Rodarte….*sigh*
