We all know that I am an avid spectacle wearer, I never really gave contacts the time of day since I got over the whole ‘boys don’t like girls with glasses’ drama around the age of 17.  Ask anybody who embraces their specs and they will tell you that a great pair of glasses can really make an outfit, and who better to show you this than Mr. Tom Ford.

Whether cat eye or classic, Tom Ford seems to embody confidence and sophistication within his frames. He takes inspiration from vintage styles and works his modern day magic to create something timeless yet show stopping. So here is the dilemma, which one to do you go for? I’ve been browsing through amazing online optician’s Pretavoir collection of designs and I can’t get enough! The selection is second to none with 229 different styles of Cat Eye Frames and 33 of which being Tom Fords! I was in spectacle heaven.

Cat Eyes have been a favourite of mine for some time now.  A style that was made iconic in the 1950’s and 1960’s, the cat-eye or winged style of glasses are super feminine, glamorous and give every outfit a nod to the past. Here’s which ones made Betty’s shortlist:

To me, if I didn’t already have a pair similar I absolutely adore these Tom Ford TF5190 001 glasses. They are a simple wide Cat Eye suitable as glasses or sunglasses and would suit most face shapes. I love the simple tbar detailing at the temple. A really classy shape that is absolutely timeless.

Tom Ford glasses are a good choice for the fashion conscious and the designer has had a huge influence in making glasses a real fashion statement that can be used to enhance, add character or infuse expression into your everyday look. Ranging from bold and eclectic to demure and classically chic, there is certainly a design within the range that is sure to appeal to every style-loving individual. Now…don’t even get me started on Pretavoir’s Prada selection…OH THE CHOICES! Check out the full selection of frames from Pretavoir’s website – you’re gonna be there for a while!
