So last week I turned a year older. I have never been one to celebrate my birthday but being a very lucky girl, my lovely pals organised many a surprise for (old) Betty. One of my first surprises was a gift from one of my favourite local designers, Naromode.

Duck Tee Naromode

You may remember me gushing over this whimsical brand since first laying eyes on their first collection ”The White Snake’ last year in the Arlington Baths. Their gift for storytelling through fashion is something that completely grabs my old romantic heart. Hand illustrated prints,  layered onto high quality silk and created into simple, easy to wear shapes. Perfection.

The headless duck tee is everything one would want in a luxe tee; bright colours, terrific chic box fit with a smidge of gore to boot. I decided to wear mine with a pair of Topshop Joni jeans, Juju Jelly shoes and an equally fowl Chicken bag! I absolutely love this bag and thought it would be the perfect companion for those pesky ducks. I finished the look off with my Pea Green PVC H&M coat which i’ve had since high school, it may well be it’s birthday too!

Naromode have recently début their second collection coincidently with one of my favourite stories of all time – Little Snow White.  What I love about Naromode (Narritive Fashion to those who have forgotten)  is the way they present their stories. With the help of Create 48, Naromode tell the tale of Snow White through words and visuals, painting the perfect collection of beauty and danger, perfectly reflecting the sinister yet stunning Grimms Brothers Tale.
