So next week is a pretty exciting one for Betty and pals, the BBC Radio 1 Academy is coming to Glasgow QMU and they have done an amazing job in ramming it full of local creatives and celebs to showcase and share their career stories!

Taking place in Queen Margaret Union in Glasgow’s West End from Saturday 10th of May to Friday 16th  May, the academy is  dedicating a week of social activities, fashion shows, gigs and panels aimed at 16-19 year olds across Glasgow and beyond. They want everyone to share their stories, their troubles and most importantly their successes which has brought them to the place they are today.

BBC1 Academy has done a fantastic job of fitting some of the worlds biggest stars from the music and entertainment industries like  Emeli Sandé, Biffy Clyro, Sir Richard Branson, Rita Ora and Kevin Bridges with local talents including DIY Nails, Bebaroque, Bold Souls, Chris John Millington, Rebecca Torres and now ME! All to encourage and inspire young people to grab their futures with both hands!

One of my main burds Tammy ‘DIY NAILS‘ will be joining me on the panel

The Academy will offer over 7,000 free spaces for young people to attend a programme of practical workshops, Q&A sessions, industry master classes and live music gigs and will open its doors in the lead up to the station’s flagship live music event, Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2014. Catch the Bold Souls fashion show on Sunday 11th feat. Chouchou alongside a panel with Rebecca Torres, Chris John Millington and co. You can catch my story on Tuesday the 13th from 3-4 alongside my girl Tammy DIY Nails, The Bebaroque Girls and none other than Sam and Billie Faiers from TOWIE! You can swatch the full programme here but tickets are free so I would take FULL advantage on all the festivities, I know I will!

Hope to see some of you on Tuesday! #TAKEITON
