Looking for a new way to treat your jazz hands? I simply cannot get enough of all the new styles DIY Nails are churning out at the moment! I am pretty useless when painting my nails myself (I am all fingers and thumbs) so when I headed for my monthly trip to Swoon Nails, of course I had to take a sheet with me to try out! Eyes as half moons? But of course!
The hardest part about using (or watching someone use as the case may be) is choosing which style to use and where to place them. The Hand to Eye set is as amazing as it looks and I would have loved to use all of them at once, but decided to play it cool and go with one eye on each nail and a cheeky wink on the thumbs. I love that they are little sets of blue and green, bat dem lashes gurls.
For all of you that are wanting to fast track your way into Nail Art City, DIY Nails should definitely be your best friend. Simply cut out of the sheet, place in water for a wee second or two, slip off the backing paper and place directly onto the nail. Voilà!
Lia keeps my nails looking fresh using Calgel, it is so much better for you than Shellac or even (God forbid) acrylic which can shatter and ruin your nails. I ended up going for this lovely lilac colour which accents my staple Betty ring from Bonnie Bling beautifully.
This wasn’t the first and definitely wont be the last time I use DIY Nails. Make sure you follow her Instagram which keeps you up to date on all of her up and coming collaborations. So far she has worked with everyone from Abandon Ship Apparel to Bloody Mary Metal. I however can’t get enough of the brand spanking new Kewpee collection she created with Nancy McNails, what decal would you choose?
Love them all! Just treated myself to the Bloody Mary Metal pack and next on my list is the Karen Mabon collab. Hx
Oh I had the Poodles and Smoking lips on for Honey Pop’s wedding! I love all of the new sets, trouble is choosing!! xx
