I mentioned in past posts that I am a pretty low maintenance girl when it comes to a skincare routine. I have been on the hunt for the lazy girls guide to perfect skin and ye know what, I think I found my perfect combo.
Fact: I work on the most polluted street in the whole of Scotland and you know what? I can feel it. With pretty much every bus, taxi and delivery truck chugging along outside my window, it can really do a number on your face. A few months back I had a consultation with the lovely ladies at Murad who prescribed (yes that’s right, like a doctor) the Environmental Shield starter kit and I have never looked back.
For a four step skincare regime it is extremely quick and simple to use. I use their zesty smelling clenser every morning in the shower with a muslin cloth, followed by the eye and skin serum. I finish up with the Essential-C Moisturizer which is so lightweight and best of all, not greasy so I can apply my foundation straight after. Even with the smaller sizes in this starter kit, a little has gone a really long way so it is totally worth the price point.
I can’t even tell you how many foundations I have tried and tested over the years so when I find a good one, I get pretty excited about it. I fist tried Dior Star at the Debenhams Beauty Night and it is everything you could possibly want in a foundation, giving a really bright luminous finish to the skin. they try to pap you off with a £12 egg sponge but for me you can’t do much better than Eco Tools brushes.
Eco friendly and cruelty free, eco brushes are a must have for everyone’s make up kit. I have been using their Skin Perfecting Brush to apply my Dior Star foundation and angled edge of the brush is an absolute dream. It allows for easy application in hard-to-reach places on the face while the soft bristles make for give a smooth finish. I finish up touching up around my eyes and nose with their foam applicator brush for fuller coverage.
Once I have my base on I am ready to go and fight the day – and the pollution – off! How do you keep your skin healthy?
