When fashion editors attended the very intimate showing of McQueen’s last work, there was one missing chain in the link….
Above is the pièce de résistance to McQueen’s last collection. A piece which he made especially for his dear friend Annabelle Neilson for Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball in June this year. The piece complimented the ‘Angels and Demons’ concept from his final showdown with a collar made of silver feathers which made Neilson appear almost as an angel.
It paints a beautiful picture of McQueen and Nelsons’ relationship and is a serene ending to a career that explored both the light and dark sides of life.
