Let’s set the scene, you’re in the middle of an inbox pit, behind on your latest project and only too aware that you only had approximately 3 hours sleep last night. Sound about right? When anxiety makes its presence known and you know exactly why, there’s little you can do apart from just, well, get on with it. Or so you’d think! Nothing has as much power as a feel-good song, which can easily transform any mundane task into an epic feat worthy of a montage!
We all have jams that make us happy, and even if we tire of them there’s always another that will inevitably lift our spirits. Whether it’s a smile across your face everytime you hear ‘Got the Love’ thnking of your girlfriends before that client meeting, or just feeling sassy about yourself after reciting Dua Lipa’s ‘New Rules’ from memory, there are songs out there that can help you escape your anxious mind and simply get shit done!
Like most of us, music has had a huge impact on my life and what song or playlist I’m listening to is usually a quick indication into how I am feeling or what I’m thinking about. I’ve got such an eclectic taste, loving everything from emo, disco, hip hop to singer songwriters all the way to unadulterated bubblegum pop. But how do I listen? Well that again depends on how I’m feeling. Sometimes you just gotta shut away from the world and escape to a place where you feel calm and happy. That’s when the headphones come out (or, you know, the bus).
I don’t know if I have the world smallest ears, but I’ve never found ear-plugs comfy – or even graduated to wireless for that matter! So I was delighted that Libratone asked me to try their new Q Adapt noise cancelling headphones. I saw them kicking about the internet for a while and really liked their clean aesthetic and pride in high quality sound. I weirdly thought I would miss the headphone jack, thinking it would just drain my phone battery but after even just one day wireless? I’m waving boy bye to Mr.Cable Jack!
So whether your lip syncing in your bedroom, dancing with the dishes or just need some you time, just make sure you have some good playlists at the ready! Have you tried Liratone headphones?
