I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. For my money \u2014 which, granted, isn’t a lot \u2014 there’s nothing more essential, practical, and stylish than a comfortable, classic blue shirt. Forever lurking in the shadows of it’s crisp white sister, my new blue Oxford shirt from Gant<\/a> has hardly been off my back since it walked out the shop with me a week ago and I have no regrets, what can I say? I’m a creature of habit.<\/h2>\n

I know I literally talked about this all but a few posts ago, but it’s pretty insane how practical a blue shirt really can be. From toughening up a cute print, worn with a pair of matching blue jeans, or even clashing with some tan like I did last week, there are so many things it looks great with, and\u00a0that’s without even talking about the various tucks that can be made to finish off the look!\u00a0Some people think that people who work in fashion have all the clothes, and while this may be true I can certainly say that I myself that I like what I like, and I like it in four colours, please.<\/p>\n

To say that I’ve got wear out of this wee shirt would be an understatement. I used to think blue shirts were a bit too reminiscent to my school days, or even that internship you had to get suited and booted for, but there is a lot to be said for the staple. Whether worn as a casual affair, formal or fashion forward, it’s all about finding a good quality one to make sure your basic doesn’t make you look, well, basic. There. I said it.<\/p>\n

One of the best things about finding something you REALLY like in your wardrobe is the fact that it reinvents everything else within it. I have had this PVC peplum skirt in the Topshop sale<\/a> at the start of summer and haven’t had it on since the day I bought it. As soon as I pulled it on, it gave a fast fashion ‘trend’ skirt more of a classic feel. \u00a0I decided to salute the itty bitty titty committee by showcasing my d\u00e9colletage\u00a0for my girl Bee’s birthday, teaming it with my fave Beyond Retro jacket <\/a>and those Boden <\/a>boots I haven’t had off since last winter. I love doing coordinating 2 colours H2T, and this is pretty much why. Do you have any old (or new) faithful\u00a0in your wardrobe?<\/p>\n
