When it comes to dining out, I am all about the new. New locations, new menus and the possibility of making new friends along the way (well, you know what those sharing tables are like). That\u2019s why I was thrilled to hear that the makers of ‘The Fish Plaice’ were back to create even more unique dining gastronomes, this time over at \u00a0Tontine Lane with a very special (and very tasty beer) Heverlee.<\/a><\/h2>\n

\"IMG_4907-0.jpg\"<\/a>I’m a sucker for a pop up, the limited time frame only pushes me to get everything I can from it. When we were invited along to the launch all but a week ago, I couldn’t believe I found something not just new, but completely new to me in my very own city. Since I was nothing short of a spring chicken when Douglas Gordon won a Turner Prize for his little slice of Hollywood in the heart of Glasgow, I was delighted that the once unused Tontine Lane and it’s famous Empire sign has been transformed into an urban street food (and beer, can’t forget the beer) heaven.<\/p>\n

Below this neon-lit\u00a0lane, a loading bay door transports you to Leuven for an authentic Belgian Cafe Bar experience. With a ridiculously tasty menu,\u00a0Heverlee at Tontine offers you the chance to experience the art of Belgian beer with a side of delicious fishy bar food – lobster mac and Moules Frites? I’ll be taking you guys, with a Heverlee Witte beer on the side of course.\u00a0

I don’t think any pop up has had this much of an impact on my diet. Eating fresh fish and drinking extremely delicious beer inside a white tiled industrial wonderland is exactly how I want to be spending all my spare time, thank you!<\/p>\n

Open for just another four days (the 2nd, although there are rumours flying it may extend the week) I couldn’t recommend this little slice of urban beauty. From the crate flowerpots, street art, DJ’s and projections, it’s safe to say that this is the coolest place in Glasgow right now. Bar none. Don’t miss out, head to Heverlee at the Tontine (entrance through Bell Street, just passed Brazen) and convince them that this pop up deserves to stay up passed the 2nd!
