It is extremely rare in the world of fashion to create an item that defies gender, age and style. Two brands who have got that shit down is Burberry and Ray Ban. The Burberry Trench and classic Ray Ban<\/a> (delete appropriate)\u00a0Clubmaster, Aviator<\/del> Wayferer\u00a0have been the unicorn of wardrobe staples ever since I can remember. It\u2019s an easy sell to \u00a0any man or woman, whether they consider themselves punk, preppy, plain, or a peacock. I decided to channel my inner Burberry 70\u2019s chic \u00a0to attend the most coveted show of the week,\u00a0who would have known my outfit would have fit in so well on the runway! Well, minus a fringe and a print or two\u2026<\/h2>\n

You know you\u2019ve hit peak LFW when you start running on your way to the Burberry Show. Dodging through papperazzi, young girls and boys trying to snap their fave celeb as the airtight security check your tickets and escort you through. It was within Kensington Gardens, in a custom made venue made just for the show. Even writing about it just now sends me into a haze of wonder, almost pinching myself and asking, did this really happen? Yes, yes it did, and I loved every, single, minute of it. I know I\u2019m a little late to the party to actually talk runway, but one thing that struck me more than ever was the wearability of the collection. Usually with the larger fashion houses, particularly Buberry Prorsum, they take us away into a dream that we could never quite be apart of, but this time Christopher Bailey took us back to the 1970\u2019s, even if we weren\u2019t there first time around!<\/p>\n

The collection aptly named Patchwork, Patterns & Prints payed homage to a freewheeling bohemian attitude. Although I absolutely loved how the models floated down the runway with patchwork red midis, scarfs and pom pom bracelets the star pieces for me had to be everything with a fringe. Of all the collections I saw this LFW, this was the one I related most to influence my SS\/AW15 wardrobe. Floaty fabrics and fringes, you got me sold Burberry.<\/p>\n

Boots and <\/em>pom pom bracelet of dreams<\/em>\u2026<\/p>\n

Now since I left my trench back at home, I had to make sure my outerwear game was high for the show. It was love at first sight when I spotted this incredible 1970\u2019s leather jacket from Beyond Retro<\/a> using my Bee\u2019s vouchers she won over Christmas. The tangerine tan, the overexaggerated rounded collar, the waist-cinching belt, it was simply perfect to add a 70\u2019s flare to the dowdiest of looks. It\u2019s incredible what a good jacket can do to a simple polo and denims.<\/p>\n

I mentioned that Burberry and Ray Ban know how to keep it classic, but it blows my mind that both designers know how to reinvent the look every season. \u00a0I finished off my look with these new look, Limited Edition denim Ray Ban <\/a>Wayfayers.<\/a> I loved dressing all in two tones and even got snapped taking a selfie outside by WWD. You can take the girls out of Scotland eh? A massive thank you to my dear friend Lynn for hookin a sista up with her plus one, it\u2019s a show I will never ever forget.
