Fringing is always a good idea. Whether it’s on the sleeves of a jacket, accenting the hem of a skirt or dangling from a handbag, the strands dance with every gentle breeze making me\u00a0incredibly happy.\u00a0With this\u00a0spring’s full-on ’70s renaissance on the go, the trend is swinging harder than ever and I for one couldn’t be more excited about it, especially when I came across this fringed beauty in a vintage shop in Glasgow.<\/h2>\n

Even though I am on a well known shopping ban, this never includes when shopping vintage. At the end of the day it’s a use it or loose it (and forever regret it) type of situation, so when you see something you love that fits well AND great quality, we all know it is something you will never forgive your past self if you don’t\u00a0purchase. So I did and I am very, very, happy about it.<\/p>\n

\"FullSizeRender<\/a>\"FullSizeRender<\/a>Not only is this heavy weight fringing champion made of real suede, it is also from the 1970’s and in perfect condition. No sweaty pits stains here! Just a great greyish, mid length jacket ready to wear when you are. We all know I’m a sucker for a statement jacket so this is a perfect piece to add to my collection. There are many ways to rock fringing without looking like you strolled in from the Wild, Wild West, although I did decide to go all out Americana and wear it with a mix of classic and quirky. I found this Miami vice Hawaiian shirt last year when charity shopping and it’s always been a fun piece to turn to, with my favourite Clubmaster sunglasses<\/a>\u00a0of course!<\/p>\n

When it comes to accessories, fringing is really enough in itself. But when you are combating some Winter sun you really need to look no further than a fur stole and a classic pair of Clubmasters.\u00a0I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, everyone should own a pair of Ray Bans<\/a>. Whether you’re a Wayfayer<\/a>, Clubmaster<\/a> or straight up Aviator<\/a>, you can’t get more stylish or versatile than a pair of those bad boys. When it comes to choosing which pair, you really are on easy street as I do not know a face shape that doesn’t suit them. Every eyewear designer has done their take on Ray Ban designs and in my view original is always best.<\/p>\n

I don’t think this will be the last piece of fringing I invest in this year, I’m secretly keeping an eye out for some crazy trousers with a similar vibe, flared of course! It is safe to say the 70’s trend is something I can totally get on board with, will you be wearing fringing this season?<\/p>\n
