Phew. That was a busy first week back into the grind! Just before I jetted off on my holidays \u00a0I attended the launch for the new Dr. Martens store\u00a0which opened on\u00a0Edinburgh\u2019s Princes Street. There\u2019s not many events that would convince myself and partner in crime Miss Bee<\/a> to squish onto the commuters train to the capital, but Dr. Martens <\/a>was one we were never gonna miss!<\/h2>\n

My first\u00a0pair of\u00a0Dr. Martens\u00a0was back at the glorious\u00a0days of Clydebank High School, where I first donned my black, calf high classic 1460\u2019s boots. They cut my feet up something rotten but after persistence they were\u00a0a regular occurrence on my feet!\u00a0One things for sure\u2026\u00a0I thought they were the coolest things I\u2019d ever seen.<\/p>\n

When attending the launch I was asked to pick a pair to take home, the store was my Oyster and I decided to go with an absolute classic\u00a0 \u2013\u00a0 the 3989 stitch brogue in \u2013 dare I say it \u2013 black.<\/p>\n

Black is never my go to, where people are scared of colour I am petrified of the shade so these were somewhat of a risk for me\u00a0however with Docs all\u00a0coming with their lifetime guarantee,\u00a0I felt that these were the perfect choice! After the launch we all\u00a0took the party to Cab Voltaire <\/a>for their Dr Martens Club night <\/a>(\u00a33 entry\u00a0if you wear your Doc\u2019s!) where myself and Bee had our new shoes customised.\u00a0We both ended up going for Betty and Bee gold menchy\u2019s on the opposite inside\u00a0foot. So, here\u2019s how I\u2019ve been wearing them\u2026<\/p>\n

\u00a0Dr. Martens will launch their \u2018#STANDFORSOMETHINGNCL Search\u2019 \u2013 a region-wide hunt for an authentic\u00a0Edinburgh Doc Martens wearer to star in its Spring\/Summer 2015 #STANDFORSOMETHING international ad campaign. So you too can get involved\u2026 all you have to do is tweet a photo and a statement of what you stand for using @DRMARTENSOFFICIAL #STANDFORSOMETHING.
