So I know we are catching up on day one when we are on three (I may be behind but there are not enough hours god dammit!) I left you all with that beautiful picture of myself and Bee hobbling up Oxford Street to Debenhams for a swift change in footwear. Once plastered and changed we headed to our last show to top off our first day which had to be the one, the only, the incredible Pam Hogg.

If there is anyone who knows how to put on a gid show it’s oor Pam. I have always wanted to see one of her shows and she was everything i hoped she would be. Protest, rebellion, acceptance and liberation were the key words of this collection and DAYUM did it show.

It all started with an explosion of colour, texture, slogans and the sound of sirens coming through an iron clad cage before the first model stepped out. The mood was set by one line ‘it’s a dedication to Pussy Riot’ to fuel her intension for rebellion towards homophobia and repression which was beautifully represented throughout the show.

Encase you aren’t aware of the cause, Pam wanted to show her support for the three young women who face seven years in a Russian prison for a satirical performance in a Moscow cathedral naming themselves Pussy Riot. The brave and braw ladies performed a 40 second “punk prayer” inside Russia’s main cathedral which led to their arrest which has been further brought to people’s attention by the horror around the Winter Olympics in Russia this year. Pam certainly brought the love into the room, no matter where it was directed.

The disco feel of the music made it impossible to sit still during what felt like an unbelievable collaborative performance from all involved. Pam done us all proud in including a stunning array of models including drag queens, plus size and the super skinny – although naturally if ye know what i mean. The array of onesies in all the colours was just magnificent, with rainbows appearing in most of the outfits apart from the double finale of Adam and Eve meets Pride and Prejudice wedding dresses and jumpsuits with stunning headdress. Wearing anything from wigs to gimp masks this was no ordinary runway show, this was a Pam Hogg runway show. This is a collection which will go down in history, and I am so happy I got to witness it. Well done Pam hen, ye done Scotland proud!

Have you seen much of LFW? What’s your thoughts of Pam Hogg’s dedication towards Pussy Riot?
