Byres Road. I have the fondest memories of being so excited to look around all the unique shops it had to offer. Now, inbetween the Estate Agents and boarded up shop fronts, it’s such a shame that it is visibly loosing that indie high street tag line. With so many shops lying there useless, two working mums and buiness women are doing there bit to help bring back what the street once had – just in time for Christmas! Westenders, say hello to your new neighbours Think Boutique and Rapu Nui Gallery.
Also known as Victoria McQuillan (Think Boutique) and Claire Kennedy (Rapu Nui Gallery) these ladies are no stranger to a Popup! They have clubbed together on a few occasions to bring back Byres Road to its indie shopping glory – but with their own flair of course! Not just your average Christmas shop, the boutique will be home to design led sustainable goods, which range from fair trade homeware and gifts to fashion and textiles derived from organic cotton. at reasonable prices – perfect for gifting someone special with something special.
