I have been counting down the years to minutes until I had an invite to one of the most glamorous events in the country and at long last my time has come! The Scottish Style Awards in association with Moët & Chandon are BACK and this year it’s taking the biscuit.
Living up to its reputation as the nation’s most stylish event of the year, Saturday the 9th of November will find the A list sashaying their way inside Glasgow’ breath taking Kelvingrove Art Gallery to join local legend Mike Keat – frontman of the The Cuban Brothers – as he turns excitement all the way to 11 and celebrates Scottish Style.
The great thing about the Scottish Style Awards is that it credits creativity and flair across all areas of expression, from Most Stylish Retailer, Designer, Musician as well as the cream of the Scottish Hospitality crop. Here are this years fabulous nominees and who Betty is flying the flag for, is it obvious that I’m a Glasgow girl?!

Betty Loves: This. Is. So. DIFFICULT!!!!! What a category!! With such strong nominees I have decided to follow my whimsy heart and give my undying love and affection to Philip Colbert for The Rodnik Band. Looking at the below photo, if you can find any other designers who encapsulate fun with pop culture as well as this, well I’d tip my hat to you my friend! I NEED one of these dresses in my life and don’t even get me started on the handbags, pop art fashion at its best.
