I am such a huge fan of Wes Anderson and his colourful and eccentric filming style so when I heard he was teaming up with Roman Coppola (brother of Sofia) to make a mini-movie for Prada starring Léa Seydoux I almost had fashion film kittens. As with all of Anderson’s flicks, this one somehow manages to be super cute but yet slightly subversive, and with three parts it should tide you over until his next flick, The Grand Budapest Hotel, comes out. Ladies and Gentleman I give you Prada Candy L’Eau.

pradacandyedt-vogue-dp-240113-1-ok-2897043_0x440 Part one features Léa Seydoux as Candy (the name of their fragrance, out in June – duh!), a fun-loving French girl who has not one but two suitors chasing for her attention. Last time I saw the beautiful Léa she was dancing around with Owen Wilson in Woody Allen in Midnight in Paris, unfortunately – still as sickeningly stunning… Part two takes us to Candy’s birthday. This is just as fabulous as you would expect for Wes, there are balloons, birthday cake, and an amazin tune to haul you in (in case you were wondering, that final party track is “L’Idole” by Jacques Dutronc – Your Welcome.) The third and final part takes us to every vintage lovers favourite destination – the Salon years after the couple’s first meeting. If you weren’t charmed by Candy’s flawless flirtations you will be now!   Prada_Eau_Candy-600x532 Similar to the last Prada Candy ad, I love that this miniseries does not take itself too seriously. The pallet is everything I would have dreamed of with the soft pinks, peaches and yellows and I think my girl crush on Léa has went into hyper drive. C’est magnifique!   20130228-224101.jpg
