Last night I was headed to Style @ Merchant Square in association with House of Fraser Glasgow in aid of the Prince and Princess of Wales Hospice (phew. mouthful!) It was a funny situation not being behind the scenes sweating away at a House of Fraser event, but a lovely change to be sipping champagne with some of Glasgow’s most fabulous!

Polka Dot Navy Trousers – Topshop | Disco Boots ASOS | Grey Peplum Top New Look | Necklace New Look

I had to choose something to wear which was suitable for work and a fashionable playtime, these are always the hardest to choose! I love these polkadot trousers from Topshop so much that I also have them in red. They are so comfortable and believe it or not go with everything, sprucing up any dull top or shoes into a whimsical polka party. I sat with Ms Bee Waits at the end of the catwalk, perfect position to take a snap of all my favourite looks for what House of Fraser have on offer this Spring Summer.

Some looks from Biba, Mary, Pied a Terre, McQ and Untold from House of Fraser

There were four rounds of trends; Monochrome, Neon, Prints and Eveningwear. I doubt it comes to any ones surprise that my favourite round was neon, in particular an Acid Green and Taupe knitted McQ number, even though it is a bit shorter than what I would normally wear! Merchant Square looked stunning for the event, with the fairy lights and the cobblestones, it reminds you of what a fantastic space it is for events. Watch this space as my wee events head is buzzing with ideas of what could be done there!

Walking home from the event last night I saw all these random eggs all about the City Centre, I woke up this morning to see a wee egg army around St Enoch with a bunch of gentlemen unpacking thousands of Lindt Bunnies. Turns out there are 101 painted eggs which are traveling their way all the way from London as a part of an Action for Children’s Big Egg Hunt. I would love to spend the day looking for all of them, 1) Because I’m unbelievably competitive 2) There may be more free bunnies and 3) Each egg has been painted by some of the UK’s most talented artists. Some are really impressive! You can have a swatch here and even bid on your favourite with all the proceeds going to Action for Children.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm in 005 and 040 Boots £7.99

On my way to go and get my free bunny I popped into Boots to get a few bits and bobs and as always I can never leave empty handed. I have been hearing loads about Revlon’s version of the Chubby Stick or ‘Just Bitten Kissable’ and since my lips are forever dry, I thought I would give it a go. They are buy one get one half price at the moment and boy do they feel silky! I opted for the 005 Crush (AKA Purpley) and 040 rendezvous (AKA Coral). They smell, taste and look great with really easy application. I have had Crush on for about two and a bit hours and the colour is still strong and no need for reapplication. Now there’s a handbag staple right there!

  1. I get them from Neiche in the Saltmarket! Best opticians you will ever go to. the staff are wonderful and help get you out of your comfort zone a bit, but most importantly NEVER letting you walk out with a pair of specs that dont suit! Thanks forreading! xx
