Hello there Swollocks! Betty is BACK! There has been a lot of changes on the other side of the screen but 2013 is the year of the change and I’m starting it with a brand new challenge….
When I saw the beautiful Bee Waits (sista from another mista Claire Stuart) and Honey Pop (the pastel haired beauty Amanda Wilson) getting right in about this challenge I thought I would get on the band wagon too. For years I have watched my friends run miles and climb mountains to help charities close to their hearts. Through my job I have helped support many charities throughout the years but yet to help one which is very close to my heart – Sane. SANE is a UK-wide charity working to improve quality of life for people affected by mental illness. They have three main objectives: 1. To raise awareness and combat stigma about mental illness, educating and campaigning to improve mental health services 2. To provide care and emotional support for people with mental health problems, their families and carers as well as information for other organisations and the public 2. To initiate research into the causes and treatments of serious mental illness such as anxiety, schizophrenia and depression and the psychological and social impact of mental illness. It’s a cause really close to my heart and would love if you could spare even a few pounds to help me raise as much money and awareness for such an important charity. You can donate via my justgiving site HERE! Every penny counts ladies and gents! I have decided to go with a dress that I had already (“accidently”) purchased twice. A beautiful Purpley / Blue body con, racer back midi dress from my faithful H&M (£29.99). I will be wearing the dress for the whole month of February with the aim being to wear it 28 different ways, and yes we can wash it and go between the dresses. Now, this dress needs to be worn to work, nights out, events, family visits, trips to the shops – the whole shebam! The only times I’m not wearing it is to bed (thank god, I always wear jammies indoors!), the gym (if I went…) and if my work had a kind of uniform (which it doesn’t…) So 28 looks in 28 days. You can keep up to date with my stylings on
Instagram (@bettyswollocksnet) or Twitter (@bettyswollocks1) or right here which I will be updating every few days. Keep yer peepers peeled for the first few days where I have been to work, coffee and a stroll, a night out and a visit to ma wee granny. I’m getting nervous… Please give as generously as you can to all of the dressers. The money for amazing causes will inspire us in what is every fashion lovers nightmare… You can donate to my teammates too by clicking below on their links. Bee Waits for Glasgow Woman’s Aid Honey Pop Kisses for British Heart Foundation Wish me luck folks, it’s day 2 and I already was yearning for my polka dot trousers. Don’t forget to DONATE!
