So I completely understand why the Ray Ban Wayfarer has been the go-to shades for the past few, well,  forever. It’s probably the worlds most classic shape and suits the every face and every style. I’m a huge fan of it myself, but if I’m shopping sunnies I seem to direct myself automatically to another classic style. The Cat Eye.

Cat eyes are the newest (and oldest) shape du jour. They can be the little retro cherry on top to every outfit, well most of the time. When I spied these amazing Tom Ford Nastasya sunglasses in metallic silver, they were the perfect mix of futuristic retro. Yes I did just juxtapose two opposite styles, but for me it is how I would describe my style as a whole. I love the Flash Mirror lenses, however I dunno if mirrors are really my jam, may just be a case of getting used to it! Smart Buy Glasses were great in delivering my glasses direct to me in just 3 days and even came with a handy lense cleaner. Perfect for me and my smudgy fingers!

Tom Ford has definitely had some fun playing around with this classic ’50s staple, creating the Nastasya in classic black, gold, silver and blue. I am so torn weather or not to transform these bad boys into some killer everyday opticals. Shopping online for glasses can always be a tricky business, so just remember the shapes you like and if it ain’t broke? Don’t fix it! What’s your favourite sunglasses shape?

forever yours betty

  1. You look awesome in these. I too go to the cat eye; Nicole Farhi, Dolce and Tom Ford – which will be on the blog soon! Have fun pretty lady. Xx
