Fridays. Finish work, red lippy on and gather round the girls and you’re onto a belter. This week myself and Bee saw our business move forward with two new interns, Megan and Jess joining the team. If any Friday was worth celebrating it had to be this one! Aren’t we lucky that Tia Maria was in town with a promise of cocktails, nails, hair and music and they for sure didn’t let us down!

Collaborating with the lovely Gemma Cairney, the Tia Maria Dark Room set up shop in Glasgow’s Hummingbird bar on Bath Street with the help of London’s WAH Nails and Tony & GuyThere was a choice of three Tia Maria cocktails on offer;  Tia Expresso Martini, Ginger and  Skinny White Russian but first up I was all up in that coffee. photo (12)photo 3 (27) After enjoying a few cocktails I headed over to the Tony& Guy area to turn my new Bardot doo into a signature beehive. I have never seen my hair backcombed so big but let me tell you it is now Sunday and my hive is STILL going strong! I loved their menu of styles to choose from, I have never seen so much good hair at one event! photo 4 (15)photo 5 (15)photo 1 (32)

Next up was a much needed fix up by the lovely WAH Nails.  The nails on offer were all inspired by the Tia Maria cocktails we were drinking so I went for my favourite of the evening, the Skinny White Russian. Using a nude Essie polish base with a white dusted  accented nail, these were the perfect finishing touch to kick start my weekend!

If there’s anyone who knows how to throw a good party it’s BBC Radio’s Gemma Cairney, this is the second one of her party’s I have been to this week and each time I have left merry and pampered. Your welcome here any time Gem! It is the first time I have properly tried Tia Maria and I think the Tia Espresso will be my version of the Bloody Mary! Perfect for a Sunday afternoon or a Friday Night if you are needing a little pick me up after work! Did you make the #TMDarkRoom this time round?
forever yours betty
