I must admit I am one of the easiest people to sell to give me a coupin’,  sale or pop up shop and sure as hell I’ll be first in the que, handbags at dawn. There is nothing I love more than wearing a H2T sale outfit, walking out the door feeling a million bucks after spending penny’s. My secret? It’s all in the timing.

PVC Bomber –  Hayley Scanlan, Dress – Missguided, Shoes – Schuh

If you have been keeping up to date with posts, you may have heard me talk about my quest to love thy legs, something I have never done. To try and make this happen, I am taking the ‘grit your teeth and bear it’ approach by pushing myself to wear things that I would usually question. The theory is if I ‘wear something (most) days that scare you’ I will magically come into thinking that my legs ain’t all that bad and so far, I’ve not chopped them off yet!

A few weeks back I received an email with a 20% off voucher from Missguided. I have only bought one pair of shoes before (using another coupin!) so thought I would give the new collection a swatch. I saw this adorable mini dress  and couldn’t help but fall for it. Obviously, my first reaction was “that would be perfect if it was a midi” but then thought at the bargain price of £13 (without my coupin’) it was pretty much a steal to include in my wee experiment. I absolutely love white and lilac together, something about it reminds me of a 60’s space age cartoon character – my proffered aesthetic – so of course it has to be mine. When it arrived it was a little shorter than expected and the zip was mega stiff, but a wiggle and finger tip test gave it the all go to wear at the relaunch of the Abandon Ship Apparel store in Princes Square. I teamed the dress with my failsafe Schuh boots (now down to only £25) and my new favourite jacket – my Hayley Scanlan bomber.

When Hayley had her pop up shop in Debenhams last month I had a shopping list as long as my arm.  Lucky for me she had a little stash of sale items from her last Queen of Hearts collection which of course gave my credit card palpitations. After trying on pretty much everything I went for this amazing PVC bomber with silver zip detailing. It seems to be my go to jacket when I’m looking for a leather alternative or something lightweight for the evenings. Do not let it fool you, this may be one of the most practical jackets I have purchased in a long while. Not only is it light, compact but it is also hellava warm and has four functioning pockets. What’s more for a girl to love right? Have you picked up some sale bargains this season?

forever yours betty
