Hello there strangers, welcome to bettyswollocks.net!

Its been too long! I have been waiting to introduce you to the new and improved site for a wee while now, I hope its worth the wait as I am beemin’ wi pride with the new swanky layout. None of this would have been possible if it wasn’t for that wee cracker Denise Ross from I D E N T I who stunned me with her knowledge and was patient with my lack of it. This isn’t the only change for Betty, I am finally getting over my ridiculous camera shyness and coming out the closet. This is my journey of Betty’s new look…

As my first non bog standard square frames, these cat eyes will forever hold a place in my heart. They were an absolute bargain from the lovely Michael from the Eye Dresser when he was still in his shop in Anniesland. It was a matter of right place at the right time when I found them, we were made to be and they served me well, but after a visit to Niche Optical Tailor in Glasgow’s Saltmarket I was like a kid in a sweetie shop. The options were endless but there has always been a specific shape and brand which I have forever dreamed of gracing my face – Francis Klein Cat Eyes.

Arent they beautiful?? Francis Klein makes some of the most unusual and striking glasses I have ever seen. Each pair are handmade (in Paris of course) and are made to order, completely unique just for you. The whole experience in Niche was nothing short of a bloody good time! Brenda and the rest of the team make what is usually a stressful experience into a friendly try on session but with the creme de la creme of eye wear as your wardobe. They ensure that the frames suit you and your lifestyle and not just how your hair sat or how your make up was that day. Their selection is endless, whether you are looking for something quirky, vintage or simple with a twist these guys will give someting for your eyes to feast on! So…whatdoyathink??
